Affectionately called "Luise" by its fans, it has long been a staple event in the running calendar and represents tradition, passion, and athletic challenge. The demanding course starts and ends at the Ravensberger Stadium in Borgholzhausen and takes runners through streets and picturesque forest paths in the Teutoburg Forest. The highest point is the distinctive Luisenturm – a landmark of the race and a test for all who take on the challenge.
